Danganronpa: Dungeons & Despair is a free-to-play, non-profit fan-made video game built using RPG Maker, blending the murder-mystery structure of the Danganronpa series with the fantasy themes of a Dungeons & Dragons–style world. The story follows twelve adventurers who find themselves imprisoned within a dungeon by a mysterious cult and forced into a deadly “Killing Game.” The only way to escape is to commit murder and successfully avoid being identified during the subsequent investigation and trial. If the culprit is exposed, they are executed as punishment; if they deceive the group and escape blame, they win their freedom while the remaining survivors are put to death. Within this project, I served as co-creator and took on the primary role of lead artist, character designer, and animator. I developed all character designs based on the project lead’s concepts and produced the game’s visual storytelling elements, including illustrated cutscene graphics and fully animated sequences such as executions and body discovery scenes.
